The Department of Mathematics at Bilkent University is calling for applications for one master and one doctoral scholarship in control theory of partial differential equations (PDEs) within the TÜBİTAK 1001 project entitled:
Stabilization of infinite dimensional dissipative systems via boundary feedback controllers using finite parameters.
Successful candidates will work towards an M.S./Ph.D. at the Graduate School of Engineering and Science. More information can be found on the department’s website for postgraduate education:

Applicants who are or will be pursuing their M.S./Ph.D. at universities other then Bilkent are also welcome to apply. However, priority will be given to those who wish to complete their postgraduate studies at Bilkent University.
This TÜBİTAK project provides an M.S. Scholarship of 4,250 TL/month (for up to 24 months) and a Ph.D. Scholarship of 5,500 TL (for up to 30 months), provided the fellow is not working somewhere else.
For students who will enroll at Bilkent University, the above scholarships may be supplemented with additional benefits, depending on qualifications of applicants. These may include tuition waiver, an additional stipend, private health insurance, office space, meal card and housing support.
Qualifications
The applicant must fulfill Bilkent University’s requirements of basic qualifications for the relevant postgraduate degree (Check M.S./Ph.D. entry requirements in the above link). In addition, the applicant must have basic knowledge of PDEs. Familiarity with control theory of PDEs is a plus but not necessary. Additional merits such as good theoretical knowledge in real/functional analysis and good computational skills (MATLAB, Mathematica) are helpful.
